Guitarist/producer Timothy James releases his sophomore album Team on Tigershrimp Records. A collection of 18 instrumental compositions. 56 minutes. Good for a walk.

Although the guitar is his primary instrument James has been playing a lot of electric bass the last few years as well allowing him new musical opportunities which have in turn inspired his own compositions.

James has played guitar (& occasionally bass) in Brooklyn’s Antibalas for a decade. Antibalas just received their first Grammy nomination for their 2020 release Fu Chronicles.

Other musicians TJ has toured or recorded with in recent years include Miwi La Lupa, The Sway Machinery, Monophonics, Michael Leonhart Orchestra, El Imperio, Hailu Mergia, Holy Hand Grenade, and Fela! The Musical.
